How to get from Seville Airport to the city centre?
If you’ve read my articles on what to see in Seville, on how to get around Seville and on flights to Seville, you’ll already have found some pointers on the best ways to get to the city centre from Seville Airport. Below I’ll summarise the information, and add advice on how to reach the Santa Justa train station once you’ve stepped off the plane, in case you need to leave the city straight away.
EA Bus
The bus is the quintessential low-cost option, but perhaps not exactly the most convenient for those arriving with lots of luggage. The special public transport line that connects Seville Airport to the city centre (Plaza de Armas) is called EA. What do you need to know?
- Bus frequency is approximately every 25–30 minutes.
- The first service from the airport to Seville departs at around 5:20 am, while the last one leaves at approximately 1:00 am.
- The first service from Plaza de Armas to the airport departs at 4:30 am, while the last one leaves at around 12:15 am.
- The journey from the airport to Plaza de Armas takes approximately 40 minutes.
- At the airport, the EA terminus is located on floor 0, at the stop opposite the arrivals area.
- Single ticket price: €6. If you travel to and from the airport on the same day, you can buy a return ticket at a reduced fare (€8), although this is a fairly unlikely scenario for most travellers.
- Tickets can be purchased directly on the bus.

To summarise, if you want to get off the bus near the historic centre of Seville, you’ll need to choose between Avenida Carlos V, Paseo Cristóbal Colón and Marques de Paradas, depending on the area you are interested in.
Taxi
If you’re laden with luggage and don’t want to embark on the mini-odyssey of the bus, or if your hotel isn’t within a reasonable distance of the bus stops, you can of course choose the taxi from Seville airport to the centre, which also becomes cheaper if you’re a family or a sizeable group. Here are the flat-rate fares:
- Approximately €25: Monday to Friday from 7 am to 9 pm
- Approximately €28:
- Monday to Friday from 9 pm to 7 am
- Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (24 hours)
- Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and 31 December (24 hours)
- Every day during Semana Santa and Feria de Abril from 7 am to 9 pm
- Approximately €35: from 9 pm to 7 am during Semana Santa and Feria de Abril
Private transfer
If you’d like to avoid waiting your turn for a taxi or don’t want to share one with others, you can book a private shuttle to take you from Seville airport to your hotel or vice versa. The main advantage is having a fully personalised service, with a driver who will assist you from the moment you exit the airport gate to the hotel door.

Private transfer to or from Seville Airport
Car hire
In fact, at the airport you’ll find the offices and desks of all the best car hire companies, but if your intention is to drive into the city and keep the car for the whole of your stay, our advice is to give up on that idea, since you won’t need it! If, on the other hand, you land in Seville but are not going into the city and are instead heading to other parts of the region, then yes: you can — indeed, you should — hire a car at the airport.

How to get from Seville Airport to Santa Justa Station?
The answer to this question can actually be found in the previous section: if you’ve read carefully, you’ll have noticed that the EA Bus has a stop dedicated to Santa Justa Station right on Avenida Kansas City. The journey takes around 25 minutes. The price remains unchanged.

As for the other options, bear in mind that taxi and shuttle prices do not change: the fares remain “flat” even if the journey is shorter, and this can make them a little less good value. Finally, there is some good news: a future Cercanías rail connection between Santa Justa Station and Seville Airport is currently planned and under development.
