A 5-day journey across Andalusia

This 5-day Andalusia tour itinerary is suitable for all seasons: Seville and Ronda, although they are located in the more inland areas of Andalusia, are two Moorish cities well worth visiting even in the hottest months, while the day you will spend in Cádiz is not at odds with a visit to Andalusia during the colder seasons: it is a jewel-box city of Moorish beauty and calls for your full attention as you discover its historic centre. And besides, the Atlantic Ocean in winter has its own appeal!

Day-by-day itinerary

Here are our suggestions on how to divide up the itinerary.

Day 1

Andalusia 5 day itinerary

Our 5-day Andalusia tour begins in Seville, the capital of the autonomous region of Andalusia. In our article dedicated to cheap flights to Seville you will find all the information about the airport and how to get into the city centre: the ideal is to land in Seville early enough to start visiting this wonderful city as soon as possible, without wasting time. Overnight in Seville.

Day 2

Andalusia itinerary 5 days

Even if your holiday is not very long, one day is not enough to get to the heart of Seville. If on the first day you have already visited the most famous tourist attractions (the Cathedral, the Alcázar…), spend this second day walking through the heart of Seville’s beautiful working-class neighbourhoods, in search of its most secret and enchanting corners. Overnight stay in Seville.

Day 3

5 days in Andalusia

The third chapter of your short but intense 5-day tour of Andalusia takes you to the oldest city in Europe, as well as the whitest and brightest in the region: Cádiz! Let yourself be swept up by the cheerful spirit of the gaditanos and wander aimlessly through the city’s narrow streets: you can spend the afternoon by the sea:  if it’s hot, the beaches of Cádiz are a chance to cool off in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Overnight stay in Cádiz.

Day 4

Andalusia road trip 5 days

We leave behind the sea of the Costa de la Luz and continue our 5-day Andalusia tour, setting off in the direction of Ronda, a magical Moorish city perched on a cliff, located in the province of Malaga. If we leave very early, we can also visit its twin in the province of Cadiz: Arcos de la Frontera. Overnight in Ronda.

Day 5

Andalusia travel itinerary

Before heading home, you can make the most of the last few hours of your holiday by visiting a truly unusual pueblo, namely Setenil de Las Bodegas, a little village where civilisation has blended with nature: the houses and streets have in fact been built into the rock. After visiting it, set off for Seville, reach the airport, leave the car and board your plane.

The 5-day Andalusia tour proposed here is a ready-made itinerary that we have designed so that, in such a limited amount of time, you can be able to visit some of the most beautiful Moorish cities on the western side of Andalusia. All you need to do is read this itinerary carefully and follow it step by step using the travel resources indicated: in this way, your holiday in DIY mode will take care of itself and all you will need to do is board the plane and enjoy the beauties of southern Spain.

Bonus stops

A week in this land is ideal for delving into its secrets: adding 2 days to the 5-day Andalusia tour proposed here, you may wish to consider adding these stops:
