An ideal itinerary for the low season
The 7-day Andalusia tour model we are presenting has been designed primarily for the off-season months: in autumn and spring – but also in the winter months – the Andalusian climate becomes milder and inland temperatures drop considerably. These are therefore the ideal times to take a closer look at these cities, which in the summer months are among the hottest in all of Spain. In addition, hotel and service rates also benefit from the low tourist turnout and become much more affordable.

Here are our suggestions on how to divide up the itinerary.
Days 1-2
Our 7-day tour of Andalusia starts in Seville. In our article dedicated to flights to Seville, we gave some tips on how to save money and how to get around as soon as you arrive at the airport, which, together with Malaga Airport, is the most important in Andalusia. If you land early, start exploring the city straight away: there is so much to see and so many attractions to visit!

Day 3
After two days spent in Seville, you’ll already have your eyes full of beauty… and yet your tour of Andalusia is only just beginning: after a final farewell to the queen city of Andalusia, a visit to a much smaller but no less enchanting town awaits you: Carmona! It’s very easy to get around in two hours; this little hilltop town has some splendid monuments to discover, tucked away among the narrow, uphill lanes of the centre.
After a brief visit to Carmona, we head to Cordoba, just in time to visit the archaeological site of Madinat al-Zahra, which lies on the outskirts of Cordoba. After that, it will be a matter of finding accommodation in Cordoba and preparing for the following day’s visit.

Day 4
The fourth day is therefore entirely dedicated to Cordoba, the city that is home to one of the most beautiful places in the region: the Mezquita of Cordoba, a magnificent cathedral that blends Moorish and Christian styles. But that is not all: the city really has a great deal to offer travellers and, given its relatively modest size, it can be visited in just one day.

Day 5
Our 7-day itinerary in Andalusia now includes a stop in a tiny mountain town that retains a uniquely rural charm. This is Zuheros: this is the stop we recommend on the journey between Cordoba and Granada.
The beauty of this little village of immaculate white houses is dizzying, but what can one say about the ruined castle that, from the upper part of the village, dominates the whole valley? After Zuheros, it is best to set off again quickly for Granada, so as to arrive in the afternoon and start exploring a few neighbourhoods.

Days 6-7
As they say… dulcis in fundo! After the excursion to Zuheros, you will already have had the chance to understand what kind of city Granada is, but in these last two days of the trip you will have plenty of time to discover its Moorish treasures, above all the Alhambra.
Visit this jewel of a city with your eyes wide open, without wasting a single minute: you’ll see the things to see multiply at a dizzying pace! On the seventh day, at last, get in the car and head for Malaga Airport: it is decidedly closer than Seville’s, and it is not right to steal time from Granada. Here ends your 7-day tour of Andalusia… and you’ll have plenty to tell!

Bonus Stops
If you have a couple more days at your disposal, we recommend these additional stops:
- visit of Ronda, a splendid smaller town that is certainly worth a day’s visit at least. Strategically, it can be included as an intermediate stop between Granada and Malaga. Find out the best things to do in Ronda by reading our tips, and while you are there, also make a brief visit to Setenil de las Bodegas;
- the road between Cordoba and Granada has many lovely little towns to discover, and it could be worth setting aside a day to explore them more thoroughly. In addition to the already mentioned Zuheros, make a note of these two names: Montefrío and Priego de Cordoba.
- if you like the sea in the colder seasons, after Granada you might decide to stop in Nerja, Almuñécar, or one of the places featured in our itinerary from Malaga to Almería.

Seville
Hotel Casa del Poeta: located in an old palace in the Barrio Santa Cruz, this magnificent boutique hotel is just a stone’s throw from all the main attractions in Seville. In the evening, traditional music concerts are held.
Cordoba
Hospederia de El Churrasco: a small, splendid gem located in the Judería district, just a stone’s throw from the splendid Mezquita. The room furnishings are stately, the service princely.
Granada
Hotel Posada del Toro: an attractive property in a traditional Andalusian style, with splendid suites and a lovely patio. Its central location is ideal for visiting the Alhambra and the other points of interest in Granada. Arrangements have been made with a car park that offers fair prices by city standards.
